What is a water distiller and how does it work?
A water distiller boils tap water into steam, leaves contaminants behind in the boiling tank, then condenses the steam back into liquid water. The manufacturer's manuals state: “Removal efficiencies of 99% or greater were achieved for almost every chemical tested.” Because bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, fluoride and dissolved solids cannot evaporate with the steam, distillation removes a broader range of contaminants than cartridge filters or reverse osmosis.
Is distilled water safe to drink every day?
Yes. Distilled water is simply pure H₂O with impurities removed. The minerals it lacks are trivially replaced by normal food — a balanced diet supplies far more calcium and magnesium than any drinking water does. Millions of households worldwide drink distilled water daily, and it is the standard for medical and laboratory use precisely because of its purity.
How much does a water distiller cost in Malaysia or Singapore?

Do PWS distillers work with Malaysian and Singaporean power outlets?
Yes. Malaysian and Singaporean mains supply falls within 220 to 240 volts, and our units are configured for 220–240V with the correct local plug. You do not need a transformer or adapter.
How many litres of distilled water can a home distiller make per day?
The PWS 8-M Stream home distiller produces up to 30 litres per 24 hours. Our commercial automatic range — the 8-5 River and 8-8 Lake (about 30 litres daily) and the 12-12 Gulf and 12-20 Sea (about 45 litres daily) — adds built-in reserve tanks of 19 to 76 litres, and the PWS 45-75 produces about 170 litres per day into a 284-litre holding tank.
What is the difference between distilled water and RO (reverse osmosis) water?
Distillation boils water into steam and condenses it, physically separating water from virtually everything else. Reverse osmosis pushes water through a fine membrane, which removes most — but not all — dissolved solids, and its performance degrades as the membrane ages. Distillation delivers more consistent purity, wastes no reject water, and needs no membrane replacement.
Can I use distilled water for my CPAP machine, autoclave or car battery?
Yes — distilled water leaves no mineral scale, which is why it suits CPAP humidifiers, autoclaves and batteries. Making your own with a countertop distiller is far cheaper than buying bottled distilled water every week.
Do you supply clinics, dental practices and laboratories?

How do I maintain a water distiller?
Two simple tasks: rinse the boiling tank and run PWS Descaler occasionally to dissolve mineral scale (more often in hard-water areas), and replace the activated coconut charcoal sachet roughly monthly to keep taste crisp.
